FILE GUIDELINES

Everything you need to know about file requirements for carbon fiber sheet cutting.

SUPPORTED FORMATS

SVGAuto-Quote

Must have explicit width/height in inches or mm. Curves and arcs supported.

DXFAuto-Quote

AutoCAD exchange format. Standard for CAD/CAM workflows.

STEP / STPManual Review

3D CAD standard. Geometry extracted, sent for manual review.

STLManual Review

3D mesh format. Bounding box computed from triangle data.

DWGManual Review

AutoCAD native format. Geometry parsed and reviewed.

UNITS & SCALE

Files should specify units explicitly (inches or millimeters).

SVG files must include width and height attributes with units (e.g. width="10in" or width="254mm").

If units are ambiguous, the system will prompt you to confirm before quoting.

REQUIREMENTS

Parts must fit within the available sheet dimensions.

Minimum feature size is determined by the drill bit size for the selected material thickness.

For complex or oversized parts, the system will route your order to manual review.
